Repair and Exchange Policy

California Connect aims to speedily resolve any equipment issues you may have. If your equipment stops working or malfunctions, or your disability needs change, California Connect can repair or exchange your equipment.

If you are having problems with your equipment, please get in touch with the Contact Center, or visit a Service Center. If you wish to bring back your equipment for repair or return, please include all original parts. This may help to identify the problem. The original phone must be returned in order to perform an equipment exchange.

What is California Connect?

California Connect, also called the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP), is funded by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and is a public purpose program that provides communications equipment and services to persons with disabilities. The program's accessible products and services are available at no cost, removing financial barriers.

Welcome to California Connect, also called the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP), which provides communication access for Californians with hearing, vision, cognitive, mobility, and speech-related disabilities. The program of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) includes accessible communication equipment and devices, relay service, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
