Are your business hours going to change?
Business hours may differ for each location; however, they will generally be open within the 8 am-5 pm time frame and will close for one hour from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. For details, visit our locations page.
Why are the Service Centers moving?
The State of California made changes to service provider contracts, including updates to how the physical locations are managed. As a result, California Connect’s Field Operations service provider will manage the new locations. During this process, the State saw and took opportunities for service improvement by finding more convenient and accessible locations to better serve Californians with disabilities.
How did you choose the new locations?
After careful review of our current locations, we learned there are many Californians with disabilities who do not live near existing offices. Additionally, we understand that many of our consumers often need more than one service. We have been more mindful of proximity to organizations, e.g., Independent Living Centers and Disability Action Centers, to allow our customers to easily access multiple service providers in one trip. In some cases, we’re even co-sharing a location with these service providers. In choosing the new locations, we looked at a series of variables including, but not limited to:
- Demographics and populations of surrounding area
- Access to public transit
- Physical accessibility of each location (proximity of handicapped parking spots, curbs, ramps, elevators, etc.)
- Proximity to complimentary service providers
- Mix of urban and rural locations
When will the new locations open?
The new locations will open on Monday, August 12th . The current Service Centers will remain open through August 9th. The best way to get the most accurate information is to:
